SIMPANG FOUR - Provincial roads in Talamau District, West Pasaman Regency, West Sumatra precisely in the Talu Tanggalan area were cut off due to landslides, Saturday (29/11) morning.

"Initial information there were no casualties in but there were six houses that were destroyed by the landslide," said Head of the West Pasaman Regional Disaster Management Agency Jhon Edwar at Simpang Empat, Saturday.

According to him, his party together with other joint teams have also evacuated residents who are near the location to a safe place to avoid further landslides.

With the cut off of the provincial road, the access to Talu, Talamau District, was completely cut off because previously the road in Rimbo Kejahatan had also been cut off due to landslides.

The broken road is an access that connects West Pasaman Regency to Pasaman Regency. It can also go to North Sumatra Medan.

He appealed to the public to remain vigilant because the land near the hills is still unstable because it rains when it doesn't stop.

West Pasaman is currently in a disaster emergency response period due to a number of natural disasters that hit the area.

Starting from floods, landslides and collapsed roads. The public is reminded to remain vigilant because of extreme weather.

The West Pasaman Regency Government is currently continuing to distribute basic food assistance to residents affected by the flood.

In addition, 19 public kitchens have also been established in villages affected by natural disasters.
