Prabowo Provides Motorcycle Assistance To Support MBG Distribution

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto will provide motor assistance to Family Assistance Teams (TPK) and extension workers who have distributed the Free Nutrition Food (MBG) program for pregnant, lactating and non-PAUD women, for appreciation and form of support for hard work in the field.

Minister of Population and Development of the National Population and Family Planning Agency (Kemendukbangga/BKKBN) Wihaji said KB extension workers and Family Planning Field Officers (PLKB), as well as TPK play an important role in ensuring that MBG is distributed properly from house to house.

"Mr. President said that he would provide motor assistance to all extension workers in Indonesia to ease their work in distributing MBG. This motorbike is specifically for KB and PLKB extension workers," said Wihaji as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, November 25.

Wihaji conveyed that the motor assistance might be in the form of an electric motorbike to facilitate the mobility of extension workers to distribute MBG.

In addition, the President also requested that extension workers continue to be strengthened in capacity through education and socialization of BKKBN programs, as part of the government's efforts to improve family welfare.

Regarding the budget to be used, Wihaji said he would leave all decisions to the President.

"I am his duty as his assistant, who will distribute it to and so that the benefits can be seen to the people of Indonesia," he explained.

During this meeting, President Prabowo and Wihaji also discussed the distribution of MBG specifically for pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers and non-PAUD toddlers. Currently, Indonesia has 597,898 TPK, of which 42,163 TPK helps for the distribution of special MBG.

In addition, President Prabowo also ordered to provide education related to the Family Planning program.
