Rais Aam PBNU Urges To Resign From His Position, This Is A Calm Answer To The Chairman Of PBNU Gus Yahya

Circulating the minutes of the PBNU Sharia daily meeting dated November 20, 2025, which contains the insistence of PBNU General Chair Yahya Cholil Staquf or Gus Yahya to immediately resign from his position. The riot of Syuriyah's daily meeting was also said to have been signed by Rais Aam PBNU, KH Miftachul Akhyar.

"Last night, from evening until evening, a Syuriah meeting was held. There we discussed the will to dismiss me. Even from the beginning the meeting had been declared that there was a desire to dismiss me," said Gus Yahya.

Moreover, said Gus Yahya, there were efforts by related parties to create a narrative that he considered as an effort to justify, without giving him space to deliver an open explanation.

"Even since the beginning of the meeting it has been stated that there is a desire to dismiss me, then narratives are made to justify, without giving me the opportunity to provide an open clarification," regretted Gus Yahya.

Gus Yahya assessed that the decisions made at this time were not the result of reasonable musyarawah but the unilateral attitude or steps taken, namely Syuriah, in this case Rais Aam KH Miftachul Akhyar.

"So I said earlier, the decision was unilateral by Syuriah, in this case Rais Aam," he said.
