The Finding Of A Bag Containing Drugs During A Trans Sumatra Toll Accident, The Police Investigate The Owner

The Lampung Regional Police (Polda) stated that they were pursuing the car owner who was suspected of throwing narcotics around the Trans Sumatra Toll Road (JTTS).

"We are also pursuing the party responsible for the narcotics smuggling attempt," said Head of Public Relations of the Lampung Police, Kombes Pol. Yuni Iswandari, in Bandarlampung, Friday, confiscated by Antara.

He also emphasized that the Lampung Regional Police will continue to investigate to find out who owns the vehicle that had an accident on the Trans Sumatra Toll Road KM 136 B on Thursday, November 20. Where around the location the joint officers found a bag containing narcotics.

"Currently, the evidence found has been submitted to the Lampung Regional Police's Narcotics Directorate for immediate treatment and follow-up," he said.

He explained that this discovery started when toll road patrol officers found a black car that had an accident on the Trans Sumatra Toll Road KM 136 on Thursday, November 20 morning.

"During the inspection by officers in the vehicle, no person or driver of the car was found," he said.

However, he continued, when toll officials conducted a sweep around the accident area, a large blue bag containing five other bags, three brown bags, one dark red bag, and a blue bag allegedly belonging to the vehicle.

"Knowing the suspicious findings, toll officers immediately coordinated with the TNI and Polri officers, especially the Highway Patrol (PJR). The team then went to the location to conduct an inspection. The findings were then opened together and 34 bags were found suspected of being narcotics," he said.
