'Hantu' Boat In Sanur Waters, SAR Searches For Missing Fishermen

The unmanned boat aka a 'ghost' boat drove in the waters of Sanur, Denpasar, Bali. The boat was driving empty because the fisherman fell.

Fisherman named Wayan Dana (60) reportedly went to sea in the morning but in the afternoon, only jukung with the engine still running without a driver.

"Approximately at 14.30 WITA jukung or the boat was found by the Sanur-Nusa Penida route and immediately forwarded to the Balawista team," said Head of the Denpasar Search and Rescue Office I Nyoman Sidakarya, Thursday, November 20.

Then, the Balawista team together with local fishermen have pulled their jukung to the edge of Mertasari Beach, Sanur, at around 16.00 WITA.

"We just got the information at 18.20 WITA from Pusdalops Denpasar, and followed up the report by moving four people to the location," added Sidakarya.

Tonight, the search was carried out by combing along the shoreline. Efforts to reduce the main equipment (Alut) of marine SAR do not allow it to be carried out because it is dark so that visibility is limited.

"The land sweeping area is divided into two Search and Rescue Units (SRU), namely to the west and east. However, the results still have not found any signs of the victim's whereabouts," he said.
