Acting Regent Ensures Relocation And Help Relocation Regency Government Build Landslide Victims' Houses In Ponorogo

Acting Regent of Ponorogo Lisdyarita reviewed the handling of landslides in Wagir Kidul Village, Pulung District, Ponorogo, East Java, Thursday, November 20.

Lisdyarita ensured that the government would help rebuild the houses of affected residents in safer locations according to the results of the BPBD assessment.

"We will relocate the victim's house, because the land contour in the old location was not declared safe," he said at the location, confiscated by Antara.

Head of Emergency and Logistics BPBD Ponorogo Agung Prasetyo said there were 11 residents from four families who fled because their houses were damaged.

During the review, Lisdyarita also monitored the process of cleaning and temporarily relocating Jemirin and Marjuki's houses which were affected by landslides on Wednesday, November 19.

He said the local government ensured that the basic needs of the victims were met during the evacuation period.

"We have come to ensure that the cleaning process runs and road access can be passed by residents immediately," he said.

The assistance provided includes personal needs and foodstuffs for affected families.

The local government together with BPBD also deployed an excavator unit to accelerate the cleaning of clay and stone material.
