This predicate is given to universities that get an accreditation value A (skor 301360) but have not met all the requirements to achieve the title of Superior.

Given to universities that achieve an accreditation value B (201-300 percent).

It should be noted that universities or study programs that get scores below 200 will get unaccredited or unaccredited status.

Several levels of accreditation values that were previously issued by BAN-PT include A, B, and C. However, along with the enactment of new instruments (Accreditation Instruments 7) and Permendikbud No. 5 of 2020, the title of Superior, Very Good, and Good is starting to be implemented.

The main difference is that every university that achieves the title of Superior certainly has an accreditation value A, but universities that get an Accreditation A value do not necessarily reach the Unggul predicate.

The Unggul predicate itself is the highest strata given to institutions that not only achieve the highest value, but also meet a series of stricter indicators, including curriculum, infrastructure, human resource quality, to Tri Dharma's achievement. This accreditation is valid for five years and can be updated automatically.

The fatal error that is often made by prospective students is only focusing on institutional accreditation, even though the most important thing is the accreditation of the Study Program (Prodi).

Although a university has the title of Superior (an example of the UII or UNAIR case), accreditation of study programs (for example, a bachelor's degree in Communication Studies) can be different.

Institution accreditation is determined by BAN-PT, while Accreditation of Study Programs is determined by the Independent Accreditation Institution (LAM) in each university.
