Inauguration Of Emirates Cardiology Hospital Indonesia Strengthens RI-PEA Strategic Cooperation

The inauguration of the Emirates (Indonesian) Cardiology Hospital (KEI Hospital) located in Surakarta, Central Java on Wednesday reflects the close relationship between the Republic of Indonesia and the United Arab Emirates, the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

The Government of the Republic of Indonesia and the PEA Government inaugurated the operation of the Emirates (KEI Hospital) Cardiology Hospital on November 19, 2025 in Surakarta.

The inauguration was carried out by the President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto with Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who was present to represent the President of PEA.

In his remarks at the inauguration, the President of the Republic of Indonesia emphasized that this collaboration reflects the joint commitment of Indonesia and PEA in providing inclusive and quality health services.

The President also expressed his appreciation for the support of the PEA Government in opening up access to the Indonesian people for the latest medical innovations.

"This hospital is part of the PEA Government grant in Surakarta and is a real symbol of the friendship between the two countries in strengthening health infrastructure," said the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement, Wednesday, November 19.

Equipped with international standard medical technology, this facility is expected to expand access to heart services, accelerate patient care, and increase the resilience of the national health system. The KEI Hospital has been operating on a limited basis and will gradually increase service capacity.

On the same occasion, a Will Statement was also signed between the Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation and the Indonesian Ministry of Religion on educational technology partnerships. This agreement is the first step to strengthen the quality of learning in Islamic religious education institutions through inclusive, sustainable, and measurable educational technology solutions.

The Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that this collaboration in health and education reflects the close relationship between Indonesia and the commitment of the two countries to jointly provide tangible benefits for the community.
