JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung ensured that no more official positions were left vacant within the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government. This was revealed by Pramono after inaugurating thousands of echelon III and IV officials.
This full position fill, according to Pramono, is a step by the provincial government to accelerate bureaucratic performance and ensure public services are not stalled due to the shortage of officials.
"Indeed, there has been a vacancy for a long time, and Bang Doel and I and their ranks, we really want everything to be filled out immediately. So, now all officials in DKI Jakarta have been filled and hopefully they can work optimally," said Pramono after the inauguration at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Wednesday, November 18.
In today's inauguration, there were 686 administrators, supervisors, and sub-group chairmen who were officially inaugurated. In addition, there are 523 functional officials through the first appointment mechanism, plus 20 types of transfer positions in 14 regional apparatus. Meanwhile, the functional teacher officials assigned as public principals who were sworn in today amounted to 673 people.
"If a sum of today is inaugurated and also two weeks ago, the number of officials appointed at City Hall or in DKI Jakarta is 2,700 people," said Pramono.
He emphasized that this massive position is aimed at strengthening the foundations of local government, especially at the implementing level which is in direct contact with residents' services.
Pramono asked all new officials to support the head of regional apparatus in formulating inclusive and fair policies, especially regarding the acceleration of poverty management and improving welfare.
To the hundreds of school principals who were also inaugurated today, Pramono emphasized the importance of maintaining the quality of education while ensuring that learning spaces are free from violence. He asked schools to strengthen governance as well as optimize mandatory programs such as KJP Plus and KJMU to be right on target.
"To school principals, I emphasize that education is an important foundation for the future of Jakarta. Improve the quality of learning, optimize the role of teachers, and make sure schools become safe, comfortable, and free of violence. There should be no bullying in all schools in Jakarta," said Pramono.
Pramono also conveyed a message to all functional officials involved in this mass inauguration. He asked them to maintain professionalism while ensuring that every task yields real benefits for the community.
"To functional officials, I ask all of you to continue to improve competence, maintain professionalism, and strengthen coordination in every implementation of tasks. Make sure every job provides results that have a real impact on the community. The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will continue to provide capacity development space to strengthen the quality of human resources," added Pramono.
