BNN Holds Operations In Tanjung Emas And Posing Semarang, Central Java DPRD Asks For Routine

JAKARTA - The Chairperson of the Central Java DPRD, Sumanto, supports the Restoration Operation of Integrated Narcotics-Prone Areas in the cities of Semarang and Surakarta carried out by the Provincial National Narcotics Agency (BNN).

According to Sumanto, this is a concrete step in line with the commitment of the Central Java DPRD.

"Commitment in strengthening social resilience and creating public order in the community," he said in Semarang, Wednesday, was confiscated by Antara.

He said that illicit trafficking and narcotics abuse were not only legal issues, but also humanitarian issues, problems with the future of the nation's generation.

Such integrated operations, he continued, must take place continuously, measurably, and sustainably.

He also hopes that BNN will restore and empower people in areas prone to drugs.

"We are ready to synergize in terms of prevention, community empowerment, and eradicating drugs, as well as rehabilitation for addicts," he said.

He said the joint effort was part of a big movement in realizing Clean Central Java from Drugs (Bersinar).

Previously, BNN held an Integrated Narcotics Prone Area Recovery Operation throughout Indonesia. In Central Java, a joint team from the Central Java Province BNN conducted operations at two strategic points in the Tanjung Emas area of Semarang and Teposan, Sriwedari Village, Laweyan District, Surakarta City.
