Commission III Of The DPR Will Form A Panja For Police Reform, Prosecutors And Courts

JAKARTA - Chairman of Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Habiburokhman, said that his party would form a Working Committee or Committee for Police Reform, Attorney General's Office and Court. The formation of this panja was carried out after listening to the many aspirations conveyed by the public to Commission III of the DPR RI regarding the improvement of the three institutions.

"So far, we have received a lot of input from the public, to establish a reform panja related to the three law enforcement institutions," Habiburokhman told reporters, Monday, November 17.

The purpose of establishing the Panja, according to Habiburokhman, is to create a fair and quality law enforcement system.

"If we talk about individuals who are in all law enforcement institutions, yes, now what kind of solution do we want to find so that we can handle this phenomenon, so that the world of justice can really have its output, namely quality justice and law enforcement," he explained.

Habiburokhman said that Commission III of the DPR would schedule a meeting with the National Police, the Attorney General's Office, and the Court to ratify the committee and start discussions.

"The plan is that next week on Tuesday, we will summon the leaders of the three institutions, then the committee will be ratified," he said.
