Failure To Lead And State Debt Continues To Increase, DPR: Change PLN's Directors

JAKARTA - PT PLN is now receiving oblique attention due to acts of violence allegedly committed by PLN EVP personnel with the initials CEN. In addition, the debt report from PT PLN increased to Rp. 711.2 trillion. Interestingly, those who heard that the increase in debt was also electrocuted by the state-owned stun company. Politicians from the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) and also members of Commission VI of the DPR, Mufti Anam, questioned the effectiveness of managing state-owned companies that were devoted to dealing with electricity. Mufti confirmed "The challenge of continuing to rise, services to the people is not improving, this is clearly wrong in PLN management," said Mufti in a written message, Friday, November 14. Mufti urged the government to immediately reshuffle the structure of the PLN leadership, including removing Darmawan Prasodjo from the position of President Director. He emphasized the importance of integrity and partiality to public interests, not just financial reports.

"It's time for the PLN board of directors to be replaced. We need people who have a vision of service, not just good at managing numbers," he said.

The National Coordinator of Electricity Volunteers for the State (Kornas Re-LUN) Teuku Yudhistira also voted the same. He asked Danantara to evaluate the position of Director of Legal and Human Capital (LHC) Yusuf Didi Setiarto, as the direct leader of CEN who is strongly suspected of committing acts of violence using sharp machetes.

This is clearly a form of failure by its leadership. Therefore, not only firing the perpetrators, but Danantara must immediately remove and fire the Director of the LHC PLN and recommend to the President to remove PLN President Director Darmawan Prasodjo as a form of responsibility for the behavior of his subordinates. Because obviously this is a form of failure between them both," he concluded.

Previously, it was reported that a video posted by the @depok24jam account was circulated regarding the 'brutal' action of a man who was strongly suspected of having an important position at PT PLN.

In the video footage uploaded on Instagram, a man in a red shirt goes berserk brandishing a sharp weapon and chases a parking attendant. It is strongly suspected that the man has an important position as PLN's xecutive Vice President (EVP). The footage was recorded on Sunday, October 26, 2025.

Based on the search, CEN is an executive official in Indonesia who is known for his position as Executive Vice President (EVP) of Legal Business Partner Distribution, Retail, and Commerce at PT PLN (Persero).

President Director Darmawan Prasodjo and PLN Public Relations, Gregorius Adi when contacted by VOI via mobile phone did not respond. Now, the public is waiting for clarity whether PLN will honestly face this storm, or continue to take cover behind the corporate narrative.
