JAKARTA - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs through the Indonesian Embassy in Phnom Penh succeeded in repatriating Argo Prasetyo (AP), an Indonesian citizen (WNI) who was suspected of experiencing violence before he died in Cambodia, urged local authorities to conduct a thorough investigation into this incident.
AP's body was immediately handed over to the family upon arrival in the country via Kualanamu International Airport, North Sumatra on Friday to be taken home and buried.
AP is an Indonesian citizen who died in Cambodia on September 30, 2025. In its official report, the Cambodian Police explained that AP died of a serious head injury (severe head injury).
The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia (KBRI) Phnom Penh in his statement wrote that AP was found abandoned on the side of the road in Svay Rieng Province, about 120 kilometers from Phnom Penh, near the Cambodia-Vietnam border at the end of September.

"The Indonesian Embassy has officially urged the Cambodian legal apparatus to conduct a thorough investigation into the case of AP's death which should be suspected of being abused," continued the Indonesian Embassy.
"The investigation process is still being carried out by the Cambodian authorities and the Indonesian Embassy will continue to follow its development," said the Indonesian Embassy.
