Fake Prosecutor Mode Revealed: Use PDH, Bring Revolvers, And Raise IDR 310 Million

TANGERANG SELATAN - A joint team from the Attorney General's Office succeeded in arresting a fake prosecutor named Tonny Renaldo Matan (49) who was caught carrying an illegal firearm in the Pamulang area, South Tangerang City, Banten.

South Tangerang District Attorney Apreza Darul Putra said the arrests were made after Tonny was found to have deceived two victims with a total loss of Rp. 310 million.

"The firearms that were secured were a type of revolver. He deceived someone with the mode of handling cases, but they were not conveyed for what case," said Apreza in Tangerang, Antara, Friday, November 14.

According to Apreza, of the total Rp310 million, Rp283 million has been received by the perpetrators, while the rest is still stored in Tonny's bank account.

The perpetrator claimed to be the Expert Staff of the Attorney General with the rank of one to convince his victims, under the pretext of having many prosecutors' acquaintances in the Bulungan area, South Jakarta.

"When secured, the perpetrator wore daily official clothes or PDH," he said.

Based on the initial examination, Tonny admitted that he had deceived two people. "He said that the money had run out. We are still investigating it later," added Apreza.

During the operation, the Intelligence, Reform and Innovation Task Force (SIRI) team of the Attorney General's Office confiscated evidence in the form of a revolver containing seven bullets, 12 active bullets, Nokia phones, Agya cars, two ID cards, SIM A and C, NPWP, black shoes, two ATM cards, and other items.

The perpetrators were then handed over to the South Tangerang Police Satreskrim for further processing. "What is certain is that the article on the possession of firearms will be imposed under the Emergency Law," concluded Apreza.
