Residents Of The Krukut River Are Restless To Hear The Discourse On Normalization, Pramono Orders His Subordinates To Socialize

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung will order the ranks of the DKI Provincial Government to carry out comprehensive socialization to residents who live on the banks of Krukut River. This socialization is carried out so that residents understand the urgency of the normalization of Krukut River which is discussed by Pramono.

This answers the concerns of residents living around the Krukut River and is worried about the fate of their residence because it has the potential to be evicted by the government.

"We have a special meeting regarding this and I have ordered socialization in both the Krukut River and Mampang River, including the upstream," said Pramono at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Thursday, November 13.

Pramono recently visited the condition of Krukut River in Petogogan Village, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta. After the review, Pramono saw that the condition of the Krukut River flow was experiencing narrowing, causing flooding in the South Jakarta area, especially in the Kemang area and its surroundings.

According to Pramono, many buildings stand above the river body, thus hampering the flow of water when the rainfall is high. Therefore, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will normalize Krukut River along the 1.3 kilometers, coupled with pump alertness to minimize the impact of flooding in surrounding settlements.

"The problem in Krukut River is that the flood has been repeated and it is time to be executed. After all, with the normalization of 1.3 kilos, the flooding may be reduced above, in this case in South Jakarta, but some of the flooding will definitely go down everywhere," explained Pramono.

"For that, I have asked to immediately prepare a pump at the end of the Krukut River," he continued.

Previously, a member of the PKS faction of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Achmad Yani, highlighted the plan of DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung to normalize the Krukut River, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta.

Yani revealed that a number of residents around the riverbanks, especially in the Pela Mampang area, South Jakarta, began to feel restless after hearing the plan. This anxiety was conveyed by residents to Yani during a recess visit.

"Yesterday I was present at the recess at RW 11, then there was also RW 5 Pela Mampang Village, which happened to live on the edge of the Krukut River. With the Governor's statement, they were restless and restless," said Yani.

According to Yani, residents are worried that this normalization project will have a direct impact on their homes. According to residents' concerns, it has emerged because until now there has been no official socialization from the government regarding the plan.

Yani also asked the DKI Provincial Government to immediately go to the field to conduct socialization and ensure that the rights of residents affected by the project are fulfilled properly. "Their message is, please do socialization informed to the community," he said.

Furthermore, Yani also conveyed a request from residents that the DKI Provincial Government not only provide compensation for the land affected by the project, but instead of compensation for land acquisition affected by normalization.

"If they were later hit by their land, their homes, land acquisition, because of the normalization needs of the 1.3 km Krukut River, they asked for compensation, not compensation," said Yani.
