Blitar Police Handles Police Complaints Wrongly Arrested

BLITAR - The Blitar Resort Police, East Java, handled complaints of alleged violations of procedures and illegal arrests made by members of the Blitar Police Criminal Investigation Unit Opsnal Unit.

Blitar Police Chief AKBP Arif Fazlurrahman said his party had followed up on the wrongful report through an internal investigation process carried out by the Internal Security Section (Paminal).

"We emphasize that every member who is proven to have committed a disciplinary violation or procedure will be dealt with according to applicable regulations. There is no tolerance for violations of integrity within the National Police," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, November 11.

He explained that based on the results of an investigation conducted by the Propam Section of the Blitar Police, several conclusions were obtained, namely that the immoral case against a middle-aged woman with the initials ETS, which was handled by the Blitar Police Criminal and Investigation Unit (Reskrim) is still under investigation.

In handling the case, it is suspected that there was a procedural error in the process of bringing FE, a resident of Mandesan Village, Selopuro District, Blitar Regency, which was carried out by the Blitar Police Criminal Investigation Unit Opsnal Unit.

"Based on the results of the Propam investigation, allegations of physical and verbal violence reported by FE were not proven. This was corroborated by the results of witness statements, as well as the results of the visum et repertum," he said.

Regarding the reason the FE was asked to take off his clothes and wear prison pants, because the person concerned explained that he had not changed his underwear and underwear for two days.

In addition, these clothes are needed as evidence to be sent to the East Java Regional Police Labfor for laboratory examination.

"Because they did not have a replacement (the clothes) at that time, the officers gave their pants as a temporary replacement," he said.

The police chief explained that the photo issue circulating in the community was not true. Officers do not take photos of FE naked, but only take photos of evidence in the form of pants and underwear belonging to the person concerned.

In addition, the Blitar Police have sent a Phase II SP2HP (Requirement Notification on Investigation Results) to FE as a form of transparency of the ongoing legal process.

"We want to emphasize that the Blitar Police are fully committed to upholding the principles of precision and upholding justice, both to the community and the internal environment of the Police itself." He said.

The Blitar Police Chief said that the National Police would certainly take action against members who carry out their duties not according to procedures.

"If there are members who are proven to have violated, we will definitely act according to the applicable mechanism in the police institution," said Arif.

Currently, the results of the internal investigation have been submitted to the Blitar Police Provos Unit for preliminary examination

With this firm step, according to him, the Blitar Police emphasized that the legal process and internal monitoring mechanisms will continue to be enforced in a transparent and professional manner to maintain public trust in the Polri institution.

The case began with the outpouring of FE's heart on social media Facebook which stated that he was a victim of wrongful arrest.

The incident began with a complaint from a neighbor of the victim, a 52-year-old woman who claimed to be an immoral victim.

Until then, the police took FE on August 21, 2025. In his confession, he had received a blow from the members and was forced to take off his clothes by officers.
