KPK Searches Ponorogo Regent's Office And Dr. Hardjono Hospital

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) searched the office of the Regent of Ponorogo, East Java, Tuesday, November 11 afternoon. The search is suspected to be related to the development of the previous KPK arrest operation (OTT) case.

Monitoring in the field showed a number of KPK members entering the regent's office on the second floor of the Ponorogo Regency Government office on Jalan Alun-North Square, Mangkujayan District, at around 11.10 WIB after breaking the previously installed seal.

The search took place with tight security by fully armed Ponorogo Police personnel.

"We have one team assigned for active security of the KPK today. Some were assigned to the regent's office and others to dr. Hardjono Hospital," said one police officer who did not want to be named, confiscated by Antara.

Ponorogo Police Chief AKBP Andin Wisnu Sudibyo has not provided information to the media crew regarding the deployment of a number of police personnel to assist in securing the work of the KPK team in Ponorogo, Tuesday, November 11.

Several attempts to communicate via telephone have not been connected, while confirmation via the WhatsApp application has not yet been responded to.

A number of journalists waiting from outside the regent's office can only document search activities from outside. They are not allowed into the building.

Until this news was written, the KPK team was still in the regent's office area. On the front yard, three metallic black Toyota Innova cars were seen parked which were allegedly used by the investigative team.

There has been no official statement from the KPK or the Ponorogo Regency Government regarding the search.

Acting Regent of Ponorogo Lisdyarita on the previous occasion ensured that government activities and public services under the auspices of the Ponorogo Regency Government continued to run normally.

Previously, Friday, November 7, the Regents of Sugiri and Regional Secretary Agus Pramono were arrested by the KPK OTT along with a number of parties related to alleged bribery of positions and project corruption in the dr. Hardjono Ponorogo Hospital.

OTT occurred only moments after the Regent of Sugiri led the mutation of a number of officials within the Ponorogo Regency Government.
