The Ternate Gambi Health Center Building Was Damaged By Strong Winds

TERNATE - The Gambi Community Health Center (Puskesmas) building in Ternate City, North Maluku collapsed due to strong winds for the last two days.

"Although a number of facilities were damaged, it did not interfere with services to residents who came for treatment at the Puskesmas located in Sasa Village, even this morning I ordered all staff to work together to clean up the fallen material. In addition, it also continues to open services," said Head of the Gambi Bidawati Hasan Health Center when confirmed in Ternate, Antara, Tuesday, November 11.

He explained that the incident occurred when the roof of the ceiling of the service room building at the Gambi Health Center on Monday when heavy rain occurred accompanied by strong winds.

"It happened yesterday afternoon at around 11.30 WIT and yesterday it was still open of service, because there were still residents waiting in line to wait for service, fortunately at the time of the incident there were no victims," he said.

Bidawati said services at the Gambi Health Center are usually open at 07.30 WIT and close services until 14.30 WIT

"The service hours are until 14.30 WIT, but if there are emergency patients, the service is still open," said the Head of the Gambi Health Center.

He stated that the collapse of the ceiling of the Gambi Health Center building had been reported to the Head of the Ternate City Health Office.

"We hope that the roof of the ceiling will be repaired as soon as possible, because the Gambi Health Center building has been inaugurated since April 2019," he said.
