Case Of Hansip Killed By Thieves In Cakung, Police Examine 5 Witnesses

JAKARTA - The police have examined five witnesses in connection with the shooting case of a Civil Defense officer (Hansip) in West Cakung, East Jakarta, Saturday, November 8 morning.

"Currently, from the Swakarsa Community Security Force (Pam Swakarsa) and the community there are approximately three to five witnesses whose statements have been taken," said Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Police Budi Hermanto as reported by ANTARA, Sunday, November 9.

The five witnesses were people who were around the scene and knew firsthand the series of events before the persecution took place.

East Jakarta Metro Police Investigators together with the Directorate of General Criminal Investigation (Ditreskrimum) of the Metro Jaya Police are still investigating the statements of witnesses and evidence at the scene.

In addition to examining witnesses, the police have also processed the crime scene (TKP) and secured a number of evidences for further analysis.

"Including the processing of evidence at the scene," said Budi.

According to Budi, the victim with the initials AS (42) died at the scene from a gunshot wound to the left abdomen.

Until now, the police are still hunting for the perpetrators and hope that the case will be revealed soon.

"It was shot in the stomach. We hope that soon it will be revealed and the perpetrators can be caught," he said.

The incident occurred on Saturday, November 8 at around 03.30 WIB in Kampung Baru, Jalan Pelajar RT 07/RW 09, Cakung Barat Village, Cakung District.

At the time of the incident, the victim was on night guard with two of his colleagues, T (48) and R (58).

Based on witness testimony, Cakung Police Chief Kompol Widodo Saputro said the incident began when the victim who was monitoring CCTV saw two suspicious people around the settlement.

The two of them allegedly wanted to pry out a motorbike parked on the side of the road.

"The victim was carrying out night patrols as Hansip RW 09. The victim was monitoring the surveillance camera (CCTV) at that time, seeing that two people were suspected of prying the motorbike," said Widodo.

Melihat hal itu, korban bersama dua rekannya segera bergerak menuju lokasi menggunakan sepeda motor bernomor polisi B 4244 UEE yang dikendarai oleh korban.

Sesampainya di lokasi, korban langsung menabrakkan motornya ke arah kendaraan pelaku untuk mencegah keduanya kabur hingga sempat terjadi perkelahian antara korban dan pelaku.

Lalu terdengar suara tembakan sebanyak dua kali yang membuat korban terjatuh. Kedua saksi langsung meminta pertolongan warga.

Seeing this, the victim and two of his colleagues immediately moved to the location using a motorcycle numbered B 4244 UEE driven by the victim.

Arriving at the location, the victim immediately hit his motorbike at the perpetrator's vehicle to prevent the two of them from running away until a fight broke out between the victim and the perpetrator.

Then there were two gunshots that made the victim fall. The two witnesses immediately asked the residents for help.
