Lively! The 2025 LSF Award Echoes The Importance Of Independent Sensors And Healthy Watches

JAKARTA The 2025 Film Censorship Institute (LSF) Award night was lively and starbursted at Studio 5 Emtek City, Jakarta, Saturday, November 8. The event, which was broadcast live by Indosiar and Vidio, featured a series of musicians and celebrities in the country, ranging from 16 finalists DAcademy 7, Putri Ariani, Leslar Family, Oka Antara, to Ungu and Dewi Perssik. This event presents a concept that combines educational, entertainment and cultural elements with attractive packaging.

Carrying the theme 'Propose Watching Culture according to Age', the 2025 LSF Award is a place of appreciation for film people, television, and parties who consistently apply independent censorship culture. The chairman of the LSF, Naswardi, emphasized that this event is different from other cultural awards because it emphasizes the importance of public awareness to watch according to age classification.

'Given the film, content, and spectacle, it can not only be watched on television and cinema, but also on internet-based. Regulations are not yet fully included in the filtration and curation process of the institution that has the authority,' said Naswardi, through his official statement.

According to him again, this is important because most of the online content has not been fully included in the supervision of the competent authorities.

The 2025 LSF Award is given to 58,415 films and film advertisements which will air from August 2023 to December 2024. The assessment process involves 17 members of the LSF and 20 professional censors, with the Lifetime Achievement category being directly assessed by the Chairperson and Deputy Chair of the LSF.

As an independent state institution, the LSF has a mandate to assess the feasibility of every film and advertisement before it is circulated to the public, as stipulated in Law Number 33 of 2009 concerning Film. Through this event, the LSF hopes that the public will increasingly understand the importance of healthy viewing literacy in order to protect the younger generation from content that is not age-appropriate.
