Traditional figures in the interior of Lebak Regency, Banten, asked the perpetrators of the robbery of the Bedouin residents to immediately surrender to the police.

"We hope that the perpetrators of the crime surrender to the police," said the Bedouin traditional representative who is also the Secretary of Kanekes Village, Medi when contacted in Rangkasbitung, Lebak, Antara, Thursday, November 6.

The victim, named Repan (17), a resident of Badui Dalam, became a victim of a crime in the Rawasari area, Cempaka Putih, Central Jakarta, on Sunday, October 26.

He was robbed by four perpetrators who rode two motorbikes. As a result of the incident, the victim suffered injuries to his left hand, and lost Rp. 3 million in cash, a cell phone, and 10 honey bottles.

Traditional figures urged the perpetrators to immediately surrender because as long as the perpetrators have not been caught, the problem is considered to have not been resolved in a customary or legal manner.

"We condemn the perpetrators of crimes that befell our citizens. The rule of law must be enforced," said Medi.

He said that Repan walked for three days from his village to Jakarta to sell Bedouin honey and accessories, because traditionally prohibited the use of vehicles. So far, the activity of trading Bedouin residents in Jakarta is safe without interruption.

"We have only heard this time that Bedouin residents have become victims of robbery. Traditional leaders ask the police to immediately arrest the perpetrators," said Medi.

Sementara itu, Kepala Seksi Humas Polres Metro Jakarta Pusat Iptu Ruslan Basuki menyampaikan pihaknya tengah memburu keempat pelaku yang terlibat dalam perampasan tersebut.

“Kami berharap pelaku kejahatan itu bisa segera tertangkap,” ujarnya.

Meanwhile, Head of the Public Relations Section of the Central Jakarta Metro Police, Iptu Ruslan Basuki, said that his party was hunting down the four perpetrators involved in the confiscation.

"We hope that the perpetrators of the crime can be caught soon," he said.
