Denying The Retak Issue, Budi Arie: Projo And Jokowi Unseparated, Media Don't Fight Against Each Other

JAKARTA - Projo Chairman Budi Arie Setiadi denied reports that the organization he led had cut ties with former President Joko Widodo.

"I want to explain to my media friends because from the development of this news it seems as if Projo seems to have cut ties with Pak Jokowi. Don't frame. This Projo was born because of Mr. Jokowi," Budi said at the Projo Third Congress in Central Jakarta, Antara, Sunday, November 2.

Budi explained that Projo was born from the spirit of giving birth to leaders from among the people.

"Projo was actually born because there is a leader of the people who must be born from the content of the people themselves, whose name is Mr. Joko Widodo," he said.

He also regretted the news that seemed to pit each other between Projo and Jokowi.

"Please all media do not pit each other against the nation's children," said Budi.

Furthermore, the former Minister of Communication and Information explained about the change in the Projo logo, which previously featured Jokowi's face silhouette.

Budi said he had communicated directly with Jokowi about the change of the logo.

"This morning I was still communicating with Pak Jokowi. This logo change is part of the transformation of the Projo organization to answer the challenges and developments of the times," he said.

He added that the logo change reflects the new spirit and direction of the sustainability-oriented organization. According to Budi, Projo will also involve the community in the process of selecting a new logo through an open competition.

"Later on, we will present the logo so that public participation can appear in the design of the new Projo logo," he said.

It is known that the Projo III Congress was held on Saturday (1/11) and Sunday (2/11). In the congress, Budi Arie Setiadi was re-elected as General Chair of Projo for the 2025-2030 period.
