JAKARTA - Indonesian Ambassador to Cambodia Santo Darmosumarto reminded the importance of valid official documents when meeting Indonesian citizens (WNI) in Bavet, Cambodia.

On this occasion, the Indonesian Embassy held a self-report service through the Peduli WNI portal by providing assistance to the Indonesian people there to update the data as part of a step to strengthen protection and data collection.

Ambassador Santo emphasized the importance of awareness of Indonesian citizens to report themselves and have official documents such as visas and valid work permits.

"The ownership of complete documents not only protects yourself, but also makes it easier for the Indonesian Embassy to provide assistance if necessary at any time," said the Indonesian Ambassador, launching a statement from the Indonesian Embassy in Phnom Penh November 1.

The event was also filled with socialization of consular services and protection of Indonesian citizens, which included information about immigration procedures, overstay prevention, as well as deportation and repatriation mechanisms.
