Former KPK Investigators Remind Potential Political Intervention Related To Corruption Investigation

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is reminded to be careful in investigating allegations of corruption in the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed train, Right. They are asked to maintain independence because the process is prone to intervention.

Praswad said that the alleged corruption in the high-speed rail project was not actually new. The KPK has also often been handled by the anti-corruption commission.

However, this investigation is considered to be an independent test for the KPK. "This means that no extraordinary ability is needed in disclosing this case if it is carried out independently," he said.

"I believe that KPK investigators and investigators can solve this case optimally when the law enforcement process can be carried out independently," continued Praswad.

Meanwhile, KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo has stated that the investigation into the alleged corruption of theASH project is carried out according to procedures. This condition makes them need time to work.

"So this is indeed the KPK that always ensures that these legal processes, both in the investigation, investigation and prosecution stages, all run according to procedures and regulations," said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to reporters, Friday, October 31.
