China Coast Guard (China Coast Guard / CCG) has been conducting patrols near disputed small islands in the South China Sea amid ongoing tensions with the Philippines.
CCG said it was conducting law enforcement patrols in territorial waters and areas around Huangyan Dao, which it claimed were part of China's territory, according to a Global Times report.
"Since October, CCG has strengthened law enforcement patrols in a sustainable manner in the island's waters, by tracking and monitoring, warning via radio, as well as intercepting and expelling ships and aircraft involved in illegal violations and provocations, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations," reads CCG's statement reported by ANTARA from Anadolu, Friday, October 31.
