The West Jakarta Metro Police destroyed a number of narcotics evidences confiscated from 8 suspects, including one Iranian citizen who was arrested.

Evidence of narcotics destroyed consisted of 18.5 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine, 91 liters of methamphetamine-making liquid and 1,270 grams of sinte seeds from 5 police reports.

A total of 91 liters of crystal methamphetamine-making liquid that was destroyed could produce 200 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine ready for distribution.

Before the destruction process was carried out, a team from the Forensic Laboratory of the National Police Headquarters first conducted a test of the authenticity of the evidence which was also witnessed by representatives from the West Jakarta District Court, the West Jakarta District Attorney, and the suspects.

The destruction process is carried out using a high-temperature incinerator.

Deputy Head of Narcotics AKP Avrilendy Akmam Ajie Sulistiyo explained that this destruction was a follow-up to various disclosure cases that were successfully uncovered by the Narcotics Unit.

"This destruction is part of the completeness of the second stage of the prosecutor's delegation process, as well as to ensure that the evidence cannot be misused again," he said, Thursday, October 30, 2025.

The West Jakarta Metro Police, he continued, will continue to take firm and measurable steps in eradicating drug trafficking networks in the jurisdiction of West Jakarta.
