JAKARTA - Army Chief of Staff (KSAD) General Maruli Simanjuntak said the Singapore military bears all financing for the nutritious food management training attended by Indonesian Army personnel.

"So all of that starts from Singapore's costs, accommodation and others," Maruli said when met by the Army Military Police Battalion Headquarters (Yonpomad), Jonggol, Bogor Regency, Tuesday, was confiscated by Antara.

Maruli explained that the training he underwent in Singapore was the result of talks between him and the Singapore Army Chief of Staff in July 2025.

During the meeting, Maruli agreed to cooperate with the Singapore military in the field of providing nutritious food.

Maruli explained the reason his party chose Singapore as a partner in the MBG field was because the country was considered mature in the program of providing nutritious food.

The Indonesian Army then sent 26 soldiers, four members of Persit Kartika Chandra Kirana, three military assistants and one observer to take part in a nutritious food management exercise at the Army Combat Service Support Command, Singapore from October 13, 2025 to October 18, 2025.

They, said Maruli, learned many things from food preparation, food safety, food nutrition to food technology. Participants were also given the opportunity to visit military and commercial food management facilities.

With this training, it is hoped that the representatives of the Indonesian Army will get a lot of knowledge so that it can be implemented in the management of the kitchen of the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) managed by the Indonesian Army.

"So that later our kitchen will be good, coincidentally we have women whose background is Nutrition, hopefully this will be their experience to manage the kitchen," said Maruli
