Tuesday Morning, 20 RTs In Jakarta Were Submerged By Floods Due To The Overflow Of The Ciliwung River

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) said as many as 20 neighborhood units (RT) in Jakarta on Tuesday morning were flooded due to the overflowing of the Ciliwung River.

"The flood submerged 20 RTs in South Jakarta and East Jakarta," said Head of the DKI Jakarta BPBD Data and Information Center Mohamad Yohan in Jakarta, Tuesday, October 28.

According to him, the rain that hit the DKI Jakarta area and its surroundings caused an increase in water discharge at the Katulampa Dam so that it had the status of Alert/Alert 3 on Monday, October 27 at 19.00 WIB.

Then, he continued, the Depok Monitoring Post had Alert/Siaga 3 status on Monday night at 21.00 WIB, causing inundation in a number of areas in Jakarta.

"The cause of the flood was because the Ciliwung River overflowed after the rain that occurred in Jakarta and its surroundings," said Yohan.

The following are areas affected by flooding until 06.00 WIB:

South Jakarta as many as 2 RTs, consisting of:

East Pejaten Village: 2 Neighborhoods

Water level: 60 cm

East Jakarta as many as 18 RTs, consisting of:

Bidara Cina Village: 5 Neighborhoods

Water level: 100-120 cm

Kampung Melayu Village: 4 Neighborhoods

Water level: 100 cm

Balekambang Village: 1 Neighborhood

Water level: 40 cm

Cawang Village: 5 Neighborhoods

Water level: 100 cm

Cililitan Village: 3 Neighborhoods

Height: 80-90 cm
