MANOKWARI - The Inspectorate of West Papua Province has begun examining two state civil servants (ASN) suspected of being involved in immoral violations through a video recording circulating in the community.

West Papua Inspector Erwin Priyadi Hamonangan Saragih said the examination process would last for 14 days in accordance with the provisions of ASN discipline.

"The team is gathering information and clarification from related parties. The examination has started since Friday, October 24," said Erwin in Manokwari, Antara, Monday, October 27.

According to him, the results of the examination will be submitted to the Governor of West Papua, Dominggus Mandacan, as the staffing officer to be used as the basis for determining sanctions.

The two ASNs have the potential to be subject to moderate to severe disciplinary sanctions, depending on the findings of the examination team.

"We will submit the report on the results of the examination to the Governor to determine the follow-up according to the applicable regulations," said Erwin.

He emphasized that the Inspectorate is committed to handling this case objectively and professionally without intervention from any party. Every ASN, he said, must be treated equally before the rules.

"There is no compromise on disciplinary violations," he said.

Erwin hopes that this case will be a lesson for all ASN to be careful in maintaining behavior, both in the work environment and in public spaces.

"ASN must be able to be role models and maintain professional honor, because individual actions can have an impact on the image of the institution as a whole," he said.

He added that local governments will not tolerate actions that injure the dignity of ASN or tarnish the good name of the agency.
