German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul canceled his trip to China from his original planned visit the day after tomorrow, Sunday, October 26.
"We are delaying the trip for the time to come," a spokesman for the German Foreign Ministry said at a regular press conference.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that Germany was concerned about the restrictions imposed on the export of rare earth metals.
"It is also impossible to arrange sufficient meetings for the trip," continued the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
He refused to say which country also canceled the trip.
Germany continued the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regretted these developments, including recalling the importance of China as a country, "which is unlike any other country that has an influence on Russia in its war against Ukraine".
