Chocolate Cake, Batik, And Laughter: Prabowo's Familiar Moment On A Joint Birthday Celebration

JAKARTA - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto and Brazilian President Luiz In laycio Lula da Silva celebrate their birthday together at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Thursday evening, October 23, in a lively, warm and familiar atmosphere between the two leaders.

Their togetherness can be seen in the upload of President Lula's Instagram account (@laoficial). In the video shared, President Prabowo is seen wearing a brown batik, while Lula is wearing a red batik.

The atmosphere of the celebration was lively. The two of them stood side by side in front of a birthday cake with a chocolate taste.

With the accompaniment of the song "Happy Birthday", Prabowo and Lula blew the wax on the cake. In that moment, Lula extinguished the candles by blowing, while Prabowo chose to shake his hands at the candles.

After that, President Lula cut the birthday cake. Meanwhile, President Prabowo along with a number of ministers who attended were seen singing "Mottle Cake".

Several officials were also present, including Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, and Head of the Government Communications Agency Angga Raka Prabowo.

The first piece of cake from Lula was given to President Prabowo, followed by a second cut for his wife Rosangela (Janja) Lula da Silva, and a third cut for himself. The three then enjoyed the cake piece at the same time.

The celebration continued with the song 'Panjang Age' sung by Prabowo with invited guests, accompanied by a lively applause by Lula which closed the night togetherness of the two country leaders.

In an upload on his social media account, Lula said that the birthday celebration was full of affection and full of symbolic meaning because it coincided with his 80th birthday on October 27 and Prabowo's 74th birthday on October 17.

He also expressed his gratitude to President Prabowo and the Indonesian people for their warm welcome during his visit to Jakarta.

"A banquet full of affection and symbolism, which deeply touches my heart. I thank President Prabowo and the Indonesian people for this warm welcome," said President Lula.
