Arguing With Wife, Man From Bogor Nekat Jumps From Fery Ship In Padangbai Waters

The truck driver with the initials AR (29), a resident of Bogor, West Java, was desperate to jump from the Dharma Fery VIII Crossing Motorboat (KMP) while sailing to Padangbai Harbor, Karangasem Regency, Bali.

Head of Public Relations of the Karangasem Police, Ipda I Nengah Artono, a AR passenger jumped from the Fery ship in the waters of Padangbai.

"Yes, there were passengers who threw themselves from the ferry," said Ipda Artono, Wednesday, October 22.

Passengers suspected of being truck drivers departed from Lembar Harbor, NTB, to Padangbai.

When this man jumped, KMP Dharma captain Ferry VIII Sunaryo took action to turn his direction and the crew (ABK) lowered their wings to evacuate the man.

"Then the conscious victim was evacuated to the Manggis 1 Health Center by the Padangbai KKP ambulance for further medical treatment," he added.

It is suspected that the cause of the victim's jump from the ship was because he had problems with his wife.

"Because of the incident, the victim was depressed because there was a family problem or a problem with his wife. The victim was safe but had fainted, but now it has gradually improved and can be invited to communicate or observation at the Manggis 1 Health Center," he said.
