The Governor of North Sumatra, Bobby Nasution, responded casually to the decision of two North Sumatra Provincial Government officials who resigned in the past week. The two officials are the Head of the North Sumatra Housing and Settlement Area (Perkim) Office, Hasmirizal, who withdrew on October 14, 2025, as well as the Head of the North Sumatra Food, Crops and Horticulture (Ketapang) Service, Rajali, who withdrew on October 21, 2025.

When met at the North Sumatra Governor's Office, Bobby initially asked the media crew to ask the official concerned directly. "Resign yourself? Ask the person, why ask me, that person resigned," he said with a smile.

Even so, Bobby ensured that the resignation of the two heads of offices would not interfere with the running of the bureaucratic system within the North Sumatra Provincial Government. He emphasized that the government must continue to run according to the targets set.

"What is certain is that this government should not be carried out with feelings. The government has a target that must be achieved. The President has given us a target, and the local government also has a target that must be achieved together," said Bobby.

Bobby also dismissed an issue that said the resignation of the Head of Perkim Hasmirizal was caused by an incident when he was said to have expelled the official at an event with the Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas, Maruarar Sirait, some time ago. According to him, the reason Hasmirizal resigned was purely because he wanted to focus more on his family.

"If it's because I'm offended, I don't think it's there," he said.

When asked further if it was true that he had expelled Hasmirizal, Bobby did not answer directly. He only emphasized the importance of achieving work targets in every regional apparatus organization.

"If we are offended, I remind you that we are working, not bringing feelings. If the target is not achieved, what should be offended is the community, not me or others," he said.

Meanwhile, regarding the resignation of the Head of Ketapang Rajali, Bobby explained that the main reason was health conditions. He admitted that he had known firsthand about Rajali's condition, which was often represented in meetings due to illness.

"The Head of Ketapang is indeed sick. Several meetings, both formal and discussion, he was represented because of his health condition," said Bobby.

He added that Rajali had fallen while performing Friday prayers. Therefore, Bobby emphasized that Rajali's resignation was purely due to health reasons and was not related to anything else.

"As far as I know, he had fallen during Friday prayers. So, if there are other issues, I make sure there is none," he concluded.
