Jealous, Wife Cuts Her Husband In Kebon Jeruk, Victim Dies

JAKARTA - A woman with the initials HZ cut her husband's genitals due to jealousy. The incident occurred in North Sukabumi Village, Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta.

The victim carried out the abuse after successfully catching the contents of the conversation on her husband's cellphone, H (the initials of the victim).

The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Kebon Jeruk Police, AKP Ganda Sibarani, said the action was motivated by blind jealousy.

"We received a report three days later, the victim was already in hospital. We found that the victim's genitals were cut off," he said, Tuesday, October 21, 2025.

After the police conducted an investigation, it turned out that the perpetrator was the victim's wife. Based on the results of the investigation, the suspect cut her husband's genitals using a cutter knife.

"The perpetrator did the action while the victim was asleep. So, he used a 'cutter' knife," he said.

Realizing that he had been abused, the victim had headed to the hospital using his vehicle with the suspect. Then victim H was referred to the RSCM for further treatment.

But unfortunately, after undergoing medical treatment at the RSCM, the victim's life could not be saved. The victim died in treatment for 23 days.

For his actions, the perpetrator HZ was charged with Article 354 of the Criminal Code concerning severe persecution with a maximum imprisonment of nine years.
