Harina Train Hits Truck At Kaligawe Crossing Semarang

JAKARTA - The Semarang-Surabaya connection Harina train crashed into an unmanned trailer truck at the Kaligawe road crossing, Semarang City, Central Java.

As a result of the incident that occurred at around 17.10 WIB, the Harina train series was forced to stop right in the middle of the section crossing.

An eyewitness, Sulityo, said the incident began when a cargoless container truck passed from south to north

"At that time the traffic on Jalan Kaligawe was indeed jammed," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, October 21.

The position of the truck, he said, at that time some had crossed the crossing.

Meanwhile, from the east, the Harina train passed, which hit the back of the truck.

As a result of the collision, the truck had turned before finally stopping on the opposite side of the road.

It is not yet known whether there were casualties or damage caused by the incident.

Meanwhile, officers are still trying to evacuate the train and truck involved in the accident.

As a result of this unfortunate incident, a long traffic jam occurred on Jalan Kaligawe from the north and south.
