Armed Robbers Who Shoot Residents In Cikalongkulon Cianjur Hunted By Police

The Cianjur Resort Police, West Java, is hunting for the perpetrators of the robbery of firearms that caused victims of IS (36), a resident of Mekarsari Village, Cikalongkulon District, to suffer gunshot wounds to the hands and stomach.

Cikalongkulon Police Chief AKP Arif Timtim Firmanto said the victim was assisted by residents and immediately taken to RSDH Cianjur for medical assistance.

"The victim suffered gunshot wounds to his stomach and hands, asking local residents for help after experiencing a robbery while resting at the Cianjur-Jonggol road post," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, October 21.

Based on information from eyewitnesses from residents around the scene, the victim screamed for help from the side of the road and was heard by a number of residents who immediately approached him. Two witnesses NYS and PR went straight to the voice and found the victim covered in blood.

The victim said that he was a victim of robbery, where the perpetrator carried a firearm and took away his motorbike. Seeing this, the witness took the victim to the local health center but was referred to RSDH Cianjur because of a severe gunshot wound.

"We asked for statements from witnesses who found the victim was covered in blood and the motorbike was taken away by the perpetrator, so we spread out members to pursue and arrest the perpetrators who allegedly fled to Bogor's jurisdiction," he said.

His party coordinated with the Cianjur Police and the Bogor Resort Police to hunt down and arrest the perpetrators who were carrying firearms in action, even decisive measures would be measured when threatening the safety of officers.

In order to anticipate the same thing, his party has increased patrols to a number of points prone to criminal acts along the Jonggol-Cianjur alternative route, where additional schedules are carried out from morning to early morning.
