JAKARTA - The majority of Indonesians said they were satisfied and trusted in President Prabowo Subianto's leadership. This is illustrated by the results of a national survey released by the Indonesia Political Opinion (IPO) on Tuesday, October 21 today.

The survey titled One Year of Government: Evaluation and Public Records shows that the level of public trust in the President is at a very high level, followed by a positive perception of economic performance and cabinet effectiveness.

In the survey results, 81 percent of the public believed and strongly believed in President Prabowo's ability to lead the country, while 67 percent said they were satisfied and very satisfied with their performance.

This level of trust increased from 76 percent in the first semester of 2025 survey, as well as signaling the strengthening of government legitimacy in its first year.

IPO Executive Director Dedi Kurnia Syah called the results evidence that Prabowo's leadership was considered by the public to be strong, stable, and in favor of the small people.

"The public sees President Prabowo as a firm, authoritative, and consistent figure in carrying out priority programs. The level of trust above 80 percent is a strong indicator of political and social stability," said Dedi Kurnia Syah in a survey release in Jakarta, Tuesday, October 21.

In addition to trust in the President, the IPO survey also recorded a positive assessment of the direction of government policy. As many as 73 percent of respondents considered the national economic condition to be good and quite good, while 85 percent considered the rural economy to be improving compared to the previous year.

The public assesses that a number of key government programs, such as Village Funds, Red and White Cooperatives, and Free Nutrition Food, contribute directly to improving people's welfare. These programs are said to have succeeded in strengthening local economic independence, creating jobs, and maintaining people's purchasing power.

Dedi added that the success of economic and social policies is a factor that strengthens public satisfaction with the President.

"The public is not just satisfied because of leadership figures, but because of the real policy results. The nutritious eating program and village funds are considered to directly touch the needs of the community," he said.

Meanwhile, the level of public satisfaction also extends to the cabinet's performance. As many as 61 percent of respondents rated the Red and White Cabinet to work well and effectively, and 27 percent considered it quite effective.

The public attributes the effectiveness of the cabinet to President Prabowo's direct leadership in directing ministers and composition of cabinets that are considered professional and loyal. Several ministers who received public appreciation include Purbaya Yudhi Sadive (Financial), Teddy Indra Wijaya ( Cabinet Secretary), and Zulkifli Hasan (Coordinating Minister for Food and Cooperatives).

"Cabinet performance cannot be separated from the leadership of the President. The public considers Prabowo's directives to be clear and consistent, so that coordination between ministries is effective," explained Dedi.

The IPO also noted that the first year of Prabowo Subianto's administration was marked by increased national trust, satisfaction, and stability. In addition to the economy and politics, as many as 77 percent of the public considered the national security condition to be safe and under control, and 80 percent considered law enforcement to be good.

Dedi assessed that public consolidation of the government is an important factor for the sustainability of national development.

"The public sees Prabowo's government as a working government, not just a promising one. Trust above 80 percent is a big capital to continue strategic programs in the second year," he said.

The IPO survey was conducted on October 9-17, 2025, against 1,200 respondents aged at least 17 years, spread proportionally across 38 provinces throughout Indonesia.

The method used is Stratified Multistage Random Sampling (SMRS) with a margin of error of up to 2.9 percent and a confidence level of 95 percent. Respondent composition: 50 percent male and 50 percent female, with 59 percent living in villages and 41 percent in cities.
