JAKARTA The Indonesian Poltracking survey institute released the results of a national poll regarding the evaluation of one year of the performance of the government of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka.
The survey also highlighted the level of public satisfaction with ministers in the Red and White Cabinet, with varying results. Most ministers are recorded to have a level of satisfaction below 60 percent.
Executive Director of Poltracking Indonesia, Hanta Yuda AR, said that the Minister of Religion Nasaruddin Umar became the minister with the highest level of public satisfaction, namely 65.7 percent.
"Furthermore, followed by Minister of Youth and Sports Erick Thohir at 63.5 percent, Purbaya Yudhi Sadive 61.2 percent, Coordinating Minister for Regional Infrastructure and Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono 61.0 percent, and TNI Commander Agus Subianto 60.2 percent," said Hanta in a survey release, Sunday, October 19.
Hanta added that ministers or other ministerial-level officials were recorded to have a level of public satisfaction of below 60 percent. In addition to evaluating the individual performance of ministers, Poltracking also noted public perceptions of possible cabinet reshuffles.
"A total of 58.4 percent of the public agreed to the reshuffle of the Prabowo Subianto government cabinet Gibran Rakabuming Raka, while 10.5 percent said they did not agree," he said.
Meanwhile, the level of public satisfaction with the performance of the Prabowo 'Gibran government as a whole reached 78.1 percent. A total of 19.3 percent of respondents said they were dissatisfied, and 2.6 percent answered they did not know or did not answer.
According to Hanta, the main factors that encourage public satisfaction come from a firm and authoritative leadership character, as well as programs that are considered to touch the needs of the community directly.
A total of 18.8 percent of respondents considered Prabowo and Gibran's leadership to be firm and authoritative. A total of 12.3 percent said government assistance was right on target, and 10.4 percent rated the Free Nutrition Food (MBG) program as the most beneficial policy," he explained.
In the sectoral assessment, education is the sector with the highest level of public satisfaction, namely 79 percent, followed by the health sector (76.6 percent), defense and security (75.5 percent), and socio-cultural (74.9 percent).
However, there are three sectors that are considered to still need improvement, namely the field of law and eradication of corruption (68.2 percent), politics and national stability (65.7 percent), and the economy (57.4 percent) which is the sector with the lowest level of satisfaction.
"The three lowest fields need more serious attention so that public assessments can be leveled with other fields," said Hanta.
