Sohibul Corrects The Issue Of Lobbying The Ministerial Chair To The Minister Of Defense: Yasirli Has Proposed PKS

JAKARTA - The DPP ranks of the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) met with the Minister of Defense (Menhan) Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, who was seen as a close person to President Prabowo Subianto, at the Ministry of Defense Office.

During the meeting, PKS Syuro Council Chairman Sohibul Iman denied any discussion about filling the Red and White cabinet seats for PKS rations. Since PKS has docked with the Prabowo government until now, none of its cadres have occupied the ministerial seat.

"Of course it is not in the right place to talk again because we are already in (coalition)," said Sohibul at the Ministry of Defense Office, Central Jakarta, Friday, October 17.

Moreover, Sohibul emphasized that the position of the Minister of Manpower, which Yassierli, an academic from ITB, was a proposal from PKS submitted to Prabowo.

"Make no mistake, if PKS is already in the cabinet. We have one minister in the cabinet, namely the minister of labor, Prof. Yasirli is a proposal from PKS. So we are already in the cabinet," explained Sohibul.

So, at today's PKS and Syafri meeting, Sohibul explained, they asked the Ministry of Defense for help to provide training to their cadres in the regeneration program in the field of resilience and defending the country.

"The regeneration system in the field of resilience, our guidance, we have a program called Kembara, the National Defense Camp. We offered Pak Safri our wishes if cooperation occurs and later formally from the Ministry of Defense can conduct training for our cadres," he explained.

"Hopefully it will become part of our participation in defending the country and become a reserve component Komcad in our defense," he added.

In addition, PKS and Sjafrie also discussed the shift in the national defense system approach. Where, currently there is a human security approach or human security approach.

Meanwhile, Defense Minister Sjafrie also emphasized that he did not have any authority regarding filling ministerial seats. This is entirely Prabowo's prerogative as head of state.

"That must be asked to the president, I am not the president," said Sjafrie.
