PT Position Confirms Not To Be Involved In The Case Of 11 Residents Of Maba Sangaji

JAKARTA - Following the decision of the Soasio District Court, Tidore Islands, against 11 residents of Maba Sangaji, East Halmahera Regency, PT Position, confirmed that the company has no direct connection with the legal process.

External Manager of PT Position, Aan Surahman, conveyed that his party fully respects the court's decision and appreciates the professional work of law enforcement officers in upholding justice for all parties.

"We fully respect the court's decision. PT Position has nothing to do with the legal process that ensnares these individuals. We believe the law has been running objectively and transparently," said Aan in a written statement, Friday, October 17.

Aan said that some residents involved in the case would soon return to their respective families. PT Position hopes that in the future residents can play an active role in village development through empowerment programs that have been designed with the village government, especially in the framework of the Community Development and Empowerment Program (PPM).

As a company operating in the East Halmahera area, PT Position affirms its commitment to continue to build harmonious relations with the mining circle community.

A number of social initiatives have been carried out by the company, including providing fiber boats complete with fishing equipment and fish storage for fishing groups, providing clean water installations and pumps for residents.
