JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has examined the RDG Airlines flight attendant, Selvi Purnama Sari, as a witness to the alleged corruption of the operational funds of the regional head of Papua Province. He was questioned about the use of money that was suspected of buying assets.

This inspection was carried out at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta on Thursday, October 16.

"Investigators are investigating the use of money originating from alleged corruption in the management of operational funds in Papua, including the use of the money for the purchase of assets in a number of places," said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to reporters quoted on Friday, October 16.

Apart from Selvy, the KPK is also investigating the use of the money through another witness, namely Marwan Suminta as the boarding house keeper. However, Budi did not specify the assets purchased or the value.

In fact, investigators also scheduled a summons for Tamara Anggraeny as Cabin Manager of RDG Airlines. However, he did not show his nose at the anti-corruption commission's office.

"Later we will check whether there is a rescheduling application letter or not. Of course later if the information is still needed, investigators will make a recall," said Budi.

Previously reported, the KPK investigated allegations of corruption in the abuse of authority related to the Operational Supporting Fund and Program for the Improvement of Official Services for Regional Heads and Deputy Regional Heads of the Papua Provincial Government. This case was originally the development of corruption carried out by Lukas Enembe while serving as Governor of Papua.

Meanwhile, Lukas Enembe has died at the Gatot Subroto Army Hospital, Jakarta in December 2023. At that time, he was still a defendant in a bribery and gratification case and the KPK was investigating the crime of money laundering (TPPU) that ensnared him.
