Dalkarhut Puts Out Land Fires On Mount Rinjani

The Forest Fire Control Team (Dalkarhut) of Sembalun Resort, Mount Rinjani National Park (TNGR) is currently extinguishing the fire in the Mount Rinjani area of Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).

"The team is heading to the location of the fire," said the Head of Forest Ecosystem Control at the NTB TNGR Agency, Budi Soesmardi, as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, October 16.

He said the anticipatory steps were taken after officers saw a hotspot visually monitored from the Sembalun Resort Office, precisely in the Gelogor Paok forest area, which is included in the Mount Rinjani National Park area.

"There is smoke in the area," he said.

To overcome the potential spread of fire and minimize the impact of environmental damage, the team immediately moved quickly to handle it.

"Please pray and support from the whole community. Efforts to protect conservation areas are a shared responsibility for Rinjani's sustainability," he said.

He also appealed to the public and tourists to jointly preserve the environment and not burn garbage carelessly in the Mount Rinjani area.

"Let's protect the Mount Rinjani area for the common good," he said.
