Not Wanting To Stir The KPK, Pramono Anung Asks For Assistance In Managing The Sumber Waras Hospital

JAKARTA - Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung asked the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to provide assistance in the construction process of the Sumber Waras Hospital which was previously problematic.

This was conveyed by Pramono after holding an audience with anti-corruption commission officials at the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta today, October 16. He wants development that runs far from legal issues.

It is known that the KPK has investigated allegations of corruption in land acquisition at the Sumber Waras Hospital since 2016 and was declared to have stopped in 2023. This asset was purchased worth Rp800 billion using the Revised APBD in 2014.

"Because we don't want this issue to become a problem in the future, there are legal issues, from the start we will still consult and ask the KPK for assistance for a resolution related to the construction of the Sumber Waras Hospital," Pramono told reporters after holding an audience.

Pramono said that the Jakarta Provincial Government had mentioned this development before the KPK leadership.

"Incidentally, the KPK leadership who was present today, used to handle this issue. So that we can clearly, clearly (get an explanation, ed) so that we know exactly what the real problem is," he said.

Meanwhile, the Director of Coordination and Supervision of Region II of the KPK, Bahtiar Ujang Purnama, said that information related to the Sumber Waras Hospital had been submitted to Pramono.

"That it was true that in 2014 the procurement was carried out by the KPK's investigation. However, after an analysis was carried out with various kinds of evidence or other evidence, the KPK decided that the available evidence was not sufficient for investigation steps," said Bahtiar.

"So that in the realm of investigation, the KPK in 2023 has stopped investigating the case," he continued.

Furthermore, the KPK has invited the Jakarta Provincial Government to make efforts to recover assets to the stalled land since 2014. "What will be used will be a hospital later type A," concluded Bahtiar.
