Fire On The Edge Of The Pademangan Train Track Kills 4 People

JAKARTA - A family consisting of 4 people was found dead in a fire incident that occurred on the edge of the railroad tracks, Jalan Pademangan Raya 5, RT 07/01, East Pademangan Village, Pademangan District, North Jakarta, Wednesday, October 15, 2025.

The fire had caused an uproar among local residents. The reason is, there were 4 lives lost due to the fire.

"The families who died consisted of mothers, children and two grandchildren," said Maya (41), a resident around the fire site.

According to information compiled by VOI, the 4 residents who died as a result of the fire were Saniyeh (60) in-laws, Susmiati (35) in-laws, Fahrudin alias Udin (8) and Siti Aisyah alias Ais (11).

Head of the DKI Jakarta BPBD Data and Information Center (Kapusdatin) Mohamad Yohan confirmed the fire incident.

Yohan said the fire occurred on Wednesday morning at around 03.55 WIB.

The cause of the fire came from the copper burning that grabbed the stereofoam beside the victim's house.

Then the fire quickly grew because at the location of the fire there were many wood materials. Plus there were strong winds.

"The alleged cause of the copper burning," said Yohan when confirmed by VOI, Wednesday, October 15, morning.

The large fire scorched 3 houses with two floors inhabited by 3 heads of families (KK) consisting of 9 people.

The fire was extinguished after 11 fire engines with 50 personnel were dispatched to the scene for water spraying.

The fire was extinguished on Wednesday morning, at around 05.17 WIB. Meanwhile, the area burned was about 45 square meters.

Meanwhile, the fire incident was under investigation by the Pademangan Police.
