JAKARTA - Iran's Foreign Ministry criticized US President Donald Trump's invitation to dialogue. Tehran accused Washington of "hostile and criminal behavior" following its statement in Israeli parliament of its readiness to reach an agreement with Tehran.
The ministry said Trump's call for peace was against his actions against Iran.
"Mr Trump could be President of Peace or President of War, but he cannot be both simultaneously," Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Aragghchi said in a separate statement on X on Tuesday, October 14.
In June, the US joined Israel in attacking Iran's nuclear facilities after five rounds of indirect nuclear negotiations with Tehran were halted due to issues such as domestic nuclear enrichment.
