Kodam XVIII/Kasuari Pursue 5 Leaders Of The Free Papua Organization Perpetrators Of The TNI Attack In Bintuni

JAKARTA - The XVIII/Kasuari Regional Military Command (Kodam) is hunting for five frontmen of the West Papua National Liberation Army/Free Papua Organization (TPNPB/OPM) who are the perpetrators of the attack on TNI soldiers in Teluk Bintuni Regency, West Papua.

Chief of Staff of Kodam XVIII/Kasuari Brigadier General Dian Hardiana said the attack resulted in the death of one soldier of the Battalion 410/Alugoro Task Force on behalf of the Soldier Head (Praka) Amin Nurohman.

"The five perpetrators aresignai, Emanuel Amimau, Barnabas Muuk, Frengky Orocomna, and Simon Orocomna," he said in Manokwari, Monday, which was confiscated by Antara.

He explained that the attack incident occurred when personnel from the Battalion 410/Alugro Task Force carried out an arena for residents in Moyeba Village, North Moskona District, Bintuni Bay, on Saturday, October 11.

"There is no thickening of personnel in Bintuni. We will take all measures in accordance with applicable regulations," he said.

Head of Information for Kodam XVIII/Kasuari Lieutenant Colonel Infantry J Daniel P Manalu said the action added to the list of armed violence carried out by separatist groups to security forces and civilians.

Kodam XVIII/Kasuari have taken further security steps as well as coordinated with the relevant authorities to ensure the situation around Moyeba Village, North Moskona District, remains conducive.

"The attack incident occurred at around 13.30 WIT in Moyeba Village. One weapon belonging to the deceased was also seized by the armed group," he said.

Currently, the body of Praka Amin Nurohman has been evacuated from Bintuni Bay, then flown to Kebumen, Central Java, via Rendani Manokwari Airport, on Monday morning.
