Chairman Of The Kaltara DPRD Opened His Voice About The Budget Of IDR 185 Billion

TANJUNG SELOR - Chairman of the North Kalimantan Provincial DPRD (Kaltara) Achmad Djufria admitted that he had never mentioned the figure of Rp. 185 billion related to the Kaltara Provincial Government (Pemprov) official travel budget, as has been widely reported recently.

According to him, the news is a form of misinterpretation of his previous statement, causing an impression as if the DPRD knew or even determined the amount of the budget.

"I never mentioned that big number. Who collected the Rp185 billion figure, I also don't know. It was wrong to catch what I said," said Djufrie in his clarification, Sunday, October 12.

The DPRD does not have the technical authority to regulate or calculate the details of the official travel budget in each Regional Apparatus Organization (OPD).

The duties of the DPRD, he said, only include the function of legislation, budget, and supervision, not dealing with internal financial households of the OPD.

"That's not the main task of the DPRD. We can't take care of the household of the OPD. As for the official trip of DPRD members, I can answer. But if it's an OPD matter, that's the executive domain," he said.

Djufri explained, each OPD has its own official travel allocation that is adjusted to work needs and activity programs.

However, he never confirmed or knew the total value for sure.

"I only explain that the official travel budget does exist in each OPD, and that's a natural thing in the APBD structure. But the amount of Rp. 185 billion, I never knew and never mentioned it," he said again.

Still said Djufrie, the DPRD has never knocked or set an official travel budget of the amount mentioned in the issue.

Menurut dia, proses penetapan APBD berjalan sesuai mekanisme dan melalui pembahasan terbuka antara legislatif dan eksekutif.

“Kalau perjalanan dinas dari OPD memang ada, tapi nilainya ya sesuai kebutuhan masing-masing. Tidak pernah ada penetapan sebesar itu,” pungkasnya.

Pernyataan tegas Ketua DPRD Kaltara ini sekaligus meluruskan informasi yang beredar, agar tidak menimbulkan kesalahpahaman publik terkait transparansi dan mekanisme penganggaran di lingkup Pemerintah Provinsi Kalimantan Utara.

According to him, the process of determining the APBD is running according to the mechanism and through open discussions between the legislature and the executive.

"If there is an official trip from the OPD, but the value is according to each other's needs. There has never been such a determination," he concluded.

This firm statement by the Chairman of the North Kalimantan DPRD also straightened out the information circulating, so as not to cause public misunderstandings regarding transparency and budgeting mechanisms within the North Kalimantan Provincial Government.
