MNC Deems CMNP’s Evidence Weak, Says It’s Only a Photocopy

JAKARTA - The Legal Team of PT MNC Asia Holding Tbk confirmed that the main evidence submitted by the plaintiff, PT Citra Marga Nusaphala Persada Tbk (CMNP), in the civil case number 142/Pdt.G/2025/PN Jkt.Pst, was in the form of photocopies. A member of the legal team, Belliandry Rudy, said this shows the inconsistency of the plaintiff in assessing the proof documents.

He explained that the judge had examined all files from both parties and received all valid documents. "In fact, the main evidence from the plaintiff is a photocopy," he said, Thursday, October 9.

Rudy considered the accusation that the defendant only submitted proof of the wrong copy. He explained that Defendant I and Defendant II had submitted documents in various forms, including original evidence and print out. All the files have been examined and received by the panel of judges without objections. It's not true that all of our evidence is just photocopies," he said.

He also revealed that most of the documents submitted by the defendant were in accordance with the original evidence belonging to CMNP. Some are even documents previously used by plaintiffs in similar cases.

"It's strange that now they are denying the evidence they used to file themselves," said Rudy. According to him, it shows the weak basis of the lawsuit submitted by the plaintiff.

Rudy gave an example of one of the important evidences proposed by the defendants is the financial report of PT Citra Marga Nusaphala Persada in 1999. In the report, there were recorded buying and selling transactions with PT Bhakti Investama as an arranger. The document, said Rudy, actually shows that the plaintiff's claim is baseless. The original evidence of them themselves refutes their argument," he said.

He emphasized that the defendant remains committed to undergoing the legal process openly and according to the rules. All evidence has been verified and is considered to comply with the provisions of the evidence in court. Rudy asked the public not to misinterpret the information circulating outside the courtroom. The trial will continue according to the agenda set by the panel of judges.
