Prank Stabs Injections In Crowds, French Influencer Imprisoned For 6 Months

JAKARTA - An influencer from France, Ilan M, was sentenced to six months in prison for his behavior in pranking a syringe to target a crowd.

News.com.au reported on Monday 6 October that the sentence against the perpetrator, also known as Amine Mojito on social media, includes a fine of 1500 and is prohibited from owning or carrying sharp goods for three years.

The French newspaper Libration said the Paris Criminal Court initially sentenced Mojito to 12 months in prison. However, it was subject to six months of probation on charges of "violent violence with weapons that did not result in an inability to work".

The Public Prosecutor in his claim accused Mojito, whether intentionally or not, of encouraging a prank phenomenon accompanied by jokes that harm the public.

Mojito was arrested after the syringe prank he uploaded on his TikTok account ahead of World Music Day in France.

In one of his uploads entitled "Mojito le piqueur fou" (crazy activist) on Tiktok, Mojito did a prank by pretending to inject people with empty syringes in public crowds.

The 27-year-old man took a prank while recording the reactions of his frightened victims.

The French police received 145 reports of a syringe prank case only in June 2025.
