3 Robbers Killed Ojol Driver In Sentani Papua Arrested, 2 Still DPO

JAKARTA - The Jayapura Police in Papua arrested three of the five perpetrators of the robbery of killing an online motorcycle taxi driver (ojol) with the initials SL (36) in Sentani.

"During the action, there were five perpetrators and currently we have arrested three people and two others have been assigned to the People's Wanted List (DPO)," said Jayapura Police Deputy Chief Commissioner Erol Sudrajat in Sentani, Monday, as reported by Antara.

According to Erol, the three perpetrators who were arrested and currently at the Jayapura Police Headquarters are HU (18), YM (19), and HVK (18).

"The three perpetrators are subject to primary Article 365 paragraph 4 subsidiary Article 365 paragraph 3, JO Article 55 paragraph 1 or Article 170 paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code with a maximum imprisonment of 15 years," he said.

As a result of the actions of the perpetrators against SL on Jalan Kampung Nendali, East Sentani District on Thursday, September 29, the Deputy Chief of Police said that people in Jayapura were becoming restless.

The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Jayapura Police, AKP Alamsyah Ali, said that according to the autopsy results on the victim, seven stab wounds were found with sharp objects.

"So it's true, apart from the wooden blocks, the perpetrators also used a knife to stab the victim and from the results of the examination the knife belonged to the victim, so we are still investigating," he said.

He added that the perpetrator YM was arrested in Kotaraja, Abepura District, Jayapura City while the HU and HVK in the Sentani area on Sunday 5 October at around 03.00 WIT then his party has also pocketed the identities of two other suspects who are included in the DPO with the initials MU and PS.

"From the results of the examination, it is known that the three perpetrators came from Yahukimo Regency and this is the first time they have committed acts of violence in Jayapura," he said.
